BKG Kyokushin Knockdown

Join the BKG inaugural International Kyokushin Knockdown Tournament 2023

It is an Open Tournament to any style and will be fought under the rules of Full-Contact Knockdown fighting.

​

Location: Crystal Palace National Sports Centre (Historic home of Kyokushin fighting in the UK & Europe)

Date: Saturday 11th November 2023

Junior Kyokushin Rules 12-13yrs Boys: -40/-45/-50/-55/55kg+
Junior Kyokushin Rules 12-13yrs Girls: -40/-45/-50/50kg+
Junior Kyokushin Rules 14-15yrs Boys: -50/-55/-60/-65/65kg+
Junior Kyokushin Rules 14-15yrs Girls: -45/-50/-55/55kg+
Cadets Kyokushin Rules Male 16yrs-17yrs: -68kg / -78kg / 78kg+
Cadets Kyokushin Rules Female 16yrs-17yrs: -58kg / 58kg+
Veterans Male Knockdown 45yrs+: -70kg / -80kg / 80kg+
Novice Men’s Knockdown: -70kg / -80kg / 80kg+
Novice Women’s Knockdown: -60kg / 60kg+
Open Men’s Knockdown: -70kg / -80kg / 80kg+
Open Women’s Knockdown: -60kg / 60kg+
Please note: Novice Categories are open to U.K and Ireland competitors only.

Special Prizes:
Traditionally in Kyokushin Karate, the reward is the challenge of taking part; testing one’s skills and courage and hoping for a trophy that symbolises the sacrifices of training. However, to promote the very best aspects of Kyokushin Karate, a financial incentive of £1,000 GBP per fighter will be awarded to both the “Best Technical Fighter” and the “Most Spirited Fighter”.
